Jebao dcs 3000 DC pump

Does anyone have one of these pumps? Jebao dcs 3000 DC pump. They say they are suppose to come with a new clear swirl impeller, but all the dcs 3000's that I've seen have the older green dct style pump impellers. Any info is much appreciated.

Hello grandp10
what I've heard the new Jebao DCS 3000 has a swirl type impeller which allows for more Max head height (approximately 25% more)
just waiting for mine to arrive from china, so depending on how long it takes ill let you know.

That's what I thought also, but it only looks like the bigger pumps have the new impeller. The ones I've seen on YouTube have the green dct impeller, and I contacted the place I bought my pump and they said all the pumps they had have the green impeller.

I had the DCS 5000 Jebao. Sent it back. Was not happy with the noise it was making. At 5 ft of head I had it about 80% and it was flowing around 600gph.

Super whine. I mean it sounded like a hair dryer running. Like it was a true DC motor under load just running..whine whine whine..Couldn't stand it.

sigh...I know I looked right at it several times and didn't even give a second thought as to what the color was. I would bet 50 bucks that it was green. For some reason I think that's what I remember but don't hold me to it. I know I liked the pump if it weren't for the motor noise. I know the impeller would not make it any quieter. What I was hearing was motor noise. Not flowing water noise.

Ok thanks. Just wondered the color because the description for the dcs pump says new clear swirl impeller. But I have only seen the clear impeller on the large models. All the small pumps seem to have the green dct impeller. Kinda ****es me off they don't all come with the new impeller.

I'm also interested in this pump DCS-3000 for a new 20 gallon tank that I'm building. I'm worried that it may be too much, but can't find a smaller model. Any suggestion? The reasons I'm interested are: 1. Heat: DC pump should generate less heat; 2. Price.

The setup will be a 20 gallon long display tank and a 10 gallon sump. Head distance will be 3.5 feet. Maybe it will allow me to split the return. Let me know what you think.

The whine could have been piping undersized ? I have the 1200 and it is super quiet . But it has an 1 1/2 thread for outlet so you have to keep it that size as much as you can to keep it from getting restricted

Do you mean 12000 instead of 1200? Is there a model 1200? Do you have a reference to it that you can share?

It should be fine. you may even want to step up to a bigger one. I have a dcs-8000 on a 30 gallon tank right now, I just have the speed turned down to like 40%. I would recommend oversizing and running it slow, because its almost silent that way. The closer you get to 100% the louder the pump will be.

Do you know what pipe diameter connections/adapters it comes with? I'm thinking of splitting the return using a Y reduction (1" coming from the DCS-3000 pump split in two 1/2" tubes ending at 1/2" locline nozzles one on each side of the tank).

mine is threaded for 1.5 pvc. but its a bigger pump. it comes with adapters for different size hoses though

I just set up my tank over a week ago.
I have the DC-4000 and has a green propeller
Its has a whinning noise and starting to get annoying.
Anyone know how to dampen the sound or advice on what to do?
Thanks
