Jebao dct 15000

Has or does anyone know it the jebao dct 15000 can run externally I know the box says not to but I have spoken to one guy and he has his external and no problems just want a few more opinion

I run mine externally. No issues whatsoever. Works like a charm. Quiet as can be. Great for the price point

My DCT15000 is in the sump. However, I ran an original DC12000 for 3+ years as an external pump on a CL for my 180g tank. It ran 100% 24/7/365 and I never had an issue. It even was room temp to the touch. My tank broke so now I use that pump in my mixing station.

Thanks for the conformation. I have been trying to figure out how to fit the DCT 15000 in my sump and was worried about running this pump as an external. I am going to go forward with setting this up as an external pump. I feel much better now.

Have you had any issues with the reduction of this pump? I am hard plumbing mine with PVC and doing the reduction from 2" to 1" and had some concerns about going that small.
