Check your transformers and make sure you got the right ones. We got two rw8's with different transformers and the pumps are very week on those two. I sent an email to reefbreeders about it already so we will see the outcome of that soon hopefully.
On another note the cables from the pump to the controller seem a little short. Does anyone know if an extension is available? I run neat wiring and will need extensions of some sort. So will Shaun.

I'd love to see a picture of how you're handling the wiring of your setup. I've been trying to clean mine up for a while now, and have not been happy with any of the results.
FWIW, instead of looking for extensions, there are a ton of DIY threads on connecting your pumps to an apex or reefkeeper. If you have one of those, maybe you can build your own to the exact length you're looking for?

Good idea about the Apex. I do have one and have everything programmed and waiting . I was trying to put that off a couple months since I have spent my budget already. I guess I will hold off installing them until I come up with more cash. I have researched it already and I know its not much but I have to wait.

Wise man! The first thing this hobby taught me, was patience. The second thing: BUDGET! haha
I'll be doing the same thing. Hooking my RW-15 up to an apex (actually, I've already decided the RW-15 is way too strong, and may try to find someone who wants to trade an rw-8. (hoping someone wasn't sure, and an rw-8 is just "a bit smaller than I wanted" )
Any one else having issues with their rw's. I have only plugged one of the new ones in and it keeps stopping the pump with the controller lit up. Unplug everything for 10 minutes and it starts and appears to work like normal. Come back later and it stopped again. So 3 out of 4 are messed up on my end so far. Almost afraid to touch the 4th.

I currently have them synced in wave mode on power level 5 and that is giving me moderate flow throughout the tank and good surface movement. I want to play around with some other settings and modes though. I am going to try C mode next.

Let me know how c mode works for you because mine go opposite but then stop and then both come on rather than one then the other.
