Jebao WP25 Information

Does the the group buy bother you Ron? Not sure why this GB would be a problem..... seems like a win-win for everyone involved IMO.

I'm just trying to be cautious and let others know whether or not it's OK to talk about a GB like that. I don't have any problem with it, I do GB's on our local forum all the time. I just don't want to see this thread shut down.

OK? :debi:

Ok. I finally heard back from Wynstan.

He says....

The WP-25 magnetic mount is available now ,
the flow rate will be 8000l/h and the controller will have speed control
function

I don't now who has the WP25. (Fish-Street does not have it on their website).

That 8000l/h seems high. it converts to 2,113 g/h.

I know that the Arizona GB bought about a 100 WP25's and MacBoat told me that there was another order before theirs.

I wonder if you would be able to just switch the controllers and use a wp25 controller on the wp40, then you can have the speed control on the wp40 also

Good info and thanks for sharing! The 2000+gph is just what I wanted and having a speed control built in is a big improvement. I am so looking forward to getting some of these as soon as we see some of the early buyers do reviews.

That would be very cool as well. I'd buy an extra WP25 and swap the controllers (assuming that works both ways), keep the WP40 and find a use for the WP25 which would no longer have speed control, but only pushes 2000gph anyway (and I would still have the variable output power supply).

I don't see why not. I'm getting 2 25's from the Arizona GB so I'll test the interchangeability of the controller when they come.

My 25's are going on the RA plus anyway so I wouldn't be using the controller for them.

i'm getting 2 of each from the gb but i will wait for others to test it lol. but it would be nice if they would work like that. then all fish street and suck would have to do is sell the wp25 controllers seperate for people that have the wp40's already

If the Sharkman pumps that I posted on page 18 are being made in the same factory that makes Jebao pumps, I am pretty sure WP40 and WP25 can share the same controller as both Sharman pumps share the same controller.

As I understand Chinese manufacturing, they probably aren't made in the same factory, but they may very well be buying components from the same suppliers. And very often components are more than just parts, sometimes entire units (like the complete controller). So you theory could very well hold even if they come from different factories.

It's just like led lights. There are 6-8 different factories making lights that all look like the EverGrow D120 (Reef Breeders 'Value Fixture'). They all come from different factories, but they all buy the same black case from one metal stamping factory. Most buy the led circuit board from the same electronics factory. Then some use good leds and some use cheap ones, some use quality fans and some use cheap ones. But outside, they all look pretty much the same. But they aren't. My EG D120 gets a 200 PAR under 21" of water and 1000 PAR just under the surface with 8" of air between the light and water. The SunSun which looks EXACTLY the same (but has noisy fans) gets PARs of 70 and 500, so they aren't even close to being equal despite both selling for $180 retail.

These look awesome and I'm seriously considering selling my vortechs mp40s for these. Would 2 wp25 replace 2 mp40 in a 125g?

One thing I don't get is why is nobody putting the motor on the outside like ecotech? Is it that hard to make? The only reason I bought mp40s is because of the clean look with hardly anything on the inside of the tank. The modes are all crap, I only use one, but an aquarium looks so nice without a giant powerhead in there.
