Jebao WP25 Information

Yeah, after i tried a few diffrent pump placements and modes i went back down to only 1 pump. 2 pumps are just way to much in any mode except if both are on low

Yeah. These guys are small put powerful.
I don't think you can have 2 in a tank under 90 without alternating them in an anti-sync mode through an Apex or Reef Angel.

Correct.
They say that the ones being produced now will have it, but again I won't believe it until I see it.

So if i were to order today, it would be complete overkill on a 40 breeder. hmm Ill have to wait to see if it comes with a controller to lessen the flow later on

It depends where you order from.

If you order from someplace like Ebay that has them in stock then yes, but Fish Street has them back ordered and supposedly has the manufacturer tied up for the next 2 months making 25's just for them.

These should have the new controller.

This is from their site..

I deff agree, I don't have any controllers to do that with but the anti-sync mode seems nice. but either way I think I am getting good enough flow throughout the tank with just 1 pump.

I'll try to upload a couple video's of when I ran both pumps in W1 mode with long pulse.

Alright thanks for the info. I might want to place an order soon so I don't have to wait forever to get it. If i place on now, I should be getting a variable speed controller, correct

Aight guys... Time for my pics/reviews from getting my wp25s early from Mac.

Pic of both dry and wetside magnets of wp25 and koralia K1

So the K1 says its 400gph. That means the wp25 is of similar size but 5x the GPH

Also got the current draw with my KillaWatt. KillaWatt pulls 2 watts to power itself. So subtract 2 watts from each reading.

Would a wp25 work for my 100 gal or do i need the wp40?. Currently setup as a fowlr but would probably slowly become a reef soon.

reefermad, nice documentation of power consumption in various modes. Looking forward to more pics and videos of actual flow.

If you decide to keep mostly SPS I think you would be happier with 2 WP25s at each end of the tank to give you more random flow. Otherwise one WP40 will be fine as it gives you broader flow due to larger output dia.

So if the Controller wont do Speed Control - i still should be able to use a uC with 5v analog Signal to Control it, shouldnt I? Just wondering why jebao did not implement this in the first place ?

Can't say why they did and didn't so what they did.

Why did they release the WP25 without the speed control on it?

Your answer is as good as mine.

My guess is, the pump was ready, the new controller was not, and because of the great interest in the product they released it with the old controller that they already had in stock.

Probably true, but you know have a lot of upset people who bought the 1st gen or model 1c and were expecting the variable speed controller according to what was told to us by a Jebao rep.

Now they have to wait for the variable speed controller or find another alternative to control the pump.

I agree. I can't see any other reason why they would add the speed control a few weeks after releasing a new product. Hopefully they give the new controller to people who have already recieved the old one. Sounds like Fish Street will be doing this.
