I think I need to lurk on RA forums and see if they can iron out the wp25 issues. I bet its just loading on the motor. After some testing we should know the full parameters.

I don't see this working out too well for our group buy. I'm guessing we will all get the old controllers and won't have fish street there to send us a replacement with speed control.:headwallblue: hopefully I'm wrong.
That's exactly what I was hopeing would not happen a bit Mad at my self now ��
Well if FS sells just the controller I will buy it just hope the pump did not change ...
I'm just really �� now I thought our big group buy would get new speed controllers. I'm bit wee disappointed on behalf of the company. What feels worse than buying an product and it gets an instant update that should have been there.

i wouldn't give up hope yet, macboat said they were way behind in production so who knows, maybe we will still get the new controllers with the big shipment.
I really hope so... Are they going to let him know when it gets shipped out ? Maybe that would help ...

It's issues like this that are why my friend (a distributor) didn't order wp25's before they were available to be seen. And given all the BS with the Tunze lawsuit, he probably won't get them until that is settled or goes away.
I'll be happy to hear that FS has started shipping wp25's with the new controller and looking forward to the first reviews. Then I'll buy mine. LOL.

Agreed. Mac has done nothing but try to make this group buy as seamless and convenient for us as possible. Whatever happens, this is a risk we all took together in an attempt to be on the cutting edge of a new product delivery. Hoping for the best (new controller) but sometimes you get cut (old controller). I have some bandaids handy so I'll be ok no matter what.

No matter how you cut it (pun intended) you got a good pump at a price so far below the cost of the competition, you gotta feel good about it.:beer:
Agreed cheaper ! Wonder if fish street will just sell controller for maybe those ppl can use on the Wp40 who don't have a reef angel .

new controller or old controller I am still happy so far with the way the pump is working, heck my dad is even thinking about one for his FW tank.
but anyway, is anybody having problems with the light sensor still? I run MH and mine works just fine. when the MH goes off and leave the VHO's on the controller goes to night mode just like it should.

Don't hope. Don't have to, because our big shipment WILL come with speed control. The first 24 wp-25 testers will MOST LIKELY get a free upgrade. :spin2:

The light sensor has always been a pain from a lot of WP40 threads. I wouldn't rely on it. Fish-street has some better light sensors for $1 maybe we should start another gb...:spin1:
