Jebao WP25 Information

YES. Unless you slow it down with their new controller or a third party controller like a Reef Angel or an Apex.

I have a WP-40 on a 55 gallon running between 35 & 50% with a Reef Angel.

What is the shipping cost others have seen? I just looked at FS and they want $67.00 to ship 3 wp25s to the US...seems very high

I ran the WP-25 in my 55 on 30% and is was still a lot.

Surprisingly I'm running the WP-40 on 305 too and it doesn't seem as bad.

I think it is because the the 25 has a smaller more focused nozzle and the 40 gives me a wider more softened flow.

Here is a video of it in the 25.
This is not slowed down though, but I did try it controlled by my Reef Angel at 30%.

Alright. I got mine from a store on ebay, so I'll be getting it in a week or so. If I can't tune it down on the controller, I'll have to figure something out. I think the 25 is overkill for a 29 at 100%. The dial is just to control the different settings?

I think he is in the wrong thread. He probably meant to post in the Vortech thread:rollface:

Apparently he must have cuz These are Ridiculously cheep :P:dance:

Does anyone have info on tank thickness for these? WP25 or 40. My tank is 3/4" and the MP60 is way out of my budget.

REMEMBER Guys, these arent Vortechs SO the pump is NOT being separated by the aquariums wall, ie the thickness is only relevant when it comes to attachment of the pump bracket to the aquarium. SInce they are like TUnzes, you can always get stronger holding magnets if you have a glass thats too thick to hold onto the WP40/25 properly. You can make it hold better by attaching an additional magnet to the magnet outside the tank, Like with a frag rack.

Is it possible, and if so, what would need to be done to hook one of these pumps up to a battery back-up unit like the Tunze safety connector or Vortech battery back-up?

The Tunze safety connector is plug and play.

The Tunze safety connector has the same plug the WP40-WP25 pumps use.

The Vortech battery backup has a diferent plug, then you will need a connector adapter

This is my setup:

-AGM SLA 12V 18AH Battery
-Genius G1100 charger/maintainer
-Tunze safety connector 6105.500

My WP40 in ELSE mode lasts 18 hours at 25% depth of discharge

From the looks of things, I want to order a wp40 for my 55 even though it will be too much flow correct? How can I slow that down, a dimmer good? The wp25 seems to be on back order again and the price difference between the two is barely anything so wouldn't it be worth grabbing the wp40 anyways?

I recieve mines on Thursday and they shipped on 6/1, not bad for shipping from HK to PR in 6 days. 93$ shipped vs 235$+ in the other hand for a vortech, I think they worth every dollar. Very happy with the WP25

I email FS because I didn't received the new speed controller but for the 75g I think I don't gonna need it! But for a smaller tank or if someone gonna use 2 of then on 4' tanks, it's necessary

The WP40 is definitely to much for a 55 without a speed controller.
If you order the 40 ask them if it will come with the new controller, If they say no ask if you would get it free of charge when it's available.

You will need to slow it down some how.
Either and LED dimmer, a PWM controller, a third party controller like Reef Angel or Apex or the new Jebao controller.

If FS tries to offer you their variable speed PS, I would not get it.
I don't know many people who have gotten them, but there have been some complaints about them.
