Jebao WP25 Information

Yea it's crazy strong.... I have the dimmer on about 50% and it's almost too much for my mixed 57 gallon 3-foot tank

Which speed controller are you getting?
I would not run the Speed controller and dimmer together.
Not sure how that will work or effect the pump.
The new speed controller Jebao came out with. I thought I read on one of these threads you could use both

I don't recall seeing that, but I wouldn't suggest it.
Reducing the voltage coming in to the controller (the way the dimmer works) is not the suggested way to slow down the pump. It does work, but we don't know any longer term effects on the pump yet.

Reducing the voltage going out to the pump along the control line is the preferred method and that is most likely what the Jebao controller is doing.

I don't know how the Jebao controller will react to reducing voltage that has already been reduced. It just doesn't seem right.

Noted. Thank you Steve. I appreciate your help and feedback.

Thanks for the picture :), the dimmer i got was from fish street which is completely different it has the switch on the side, from the way i look at it it looks as if i need to get a pc monitor power cable to plug into the dimmer and then connect that to the pump and not used the power supply that came with the pump, I'll have to post pics later

You got this variable power supply?

I can't see the far side, but does it have 2 or 3 prongs on it?
You'll need a power cable to plug into that, the the DC side looks like it is a female end and the controller is female also, so something don't work there.

There's a reason God made males and females :lolspin:.

Can you take a picture of both connectors on the power supply?

Those of you with the hookups to get info, any info on these: Jebao KM ECO Variable Pump

Based on specs posted and appearance I'd say it the re-branding of the WaveLine and similar DC pumps. But, i don't see anything about the control aspect... Price wise its crazy, as is the WP40/25, $70 for the 10k which is around 2600 GPH.

Please pester your contacts for info =D.

Emailed fish street today about them, and got an email back saying that they are not available for USA/110v. Bummer. I'm happy with my Laguna 2400, but that would be a sweet $70 back up pump. Lol

To be more exact, this is what he said

I've heard from someone that Jebao makes waveline pumps, so maybe they don't wanna **** of their big customers (RLSS/waveline) by selling jebao pumps at 1/3 the price.

It's almost worth running a 220v line to the tank. I've already done 2 dedicated 110v lines, doing a 220v isn't that big a deal... unless you are paying an electrician! :spin1:

It also didn't mention that it is indeed a DC pump, which we assume. And being one... it just needs a power supply. Its just a question of what the control is and where its located...

You should be able to just get a 110vAC to 24VDC (assuming it's 24V) and it should work, right?

And you are right, more info and a good photo would help a lot!

I'm going to try to get info on the Jebao KM ECO Variable Pump from Wynstan, but he has not been that responsive lately.

Ron; You're not in the path of Andrea are you?
It looks like it's going a bit north of you.
If so, wish you the best, but it is on a TS so it shouldn't be too bad.

They get some everyday.
Their website says they are 1.5 hr from the factory and go everyday to pickup what they have ready.

It is still delayed though as they are playing catch up.
