Jebao WP25 Information

Fish street is now sending the pumps out by UPS instead of through the post office which means you get your order within 2-3 days vs 1 week! The only problem is they are completely out of WP25s and everything is back ordered by at least 2 weeks, acccording to their website.
Fragtastic reef will get their also at the end of the month. Fish street has the adjustable voltage regulator which I probably need because my tank is only 40g. Haven't ordered yet, can't quite press the button just yet. I'm sure by the end of the day.

The adjustable voltage regulator they have is nothing special.
If you are not hooking it up to and Apex or Reef Angel controller then you can get a 5V-24V LED Light Dimmer from EBay.

I've used one for about 2 months without a problem before I connected the WP40 to my Reef Angel.

Since I'm ordering the unit from them, why not order it at the same time it's $10.

Sacohen,
I am replacing my wp40 with 2 wp25s that I ordered with the group buy which I will be putting on opposite ends of a 90gal. Do you think a reef angel controller is worth purchasing to run these pumps or should I just stick with the stock controller and led dimmer? I was thinking the anti sinc might be nice, but not sure.

Do you put the regulator before the controller or after the controller?

I think it will be close, the 25s look pretty powerful still. What are you stocking in your tank?

I have my WP 40 hooked up to my Reef Angel and I love the controllability of it.

I just got the 2 WP 25's also but I haven't put them in the tank yet.
I want to test it with the stock controller for a day or two so I can give a review of it.

I can't say I bought the Reef Angel because it was able to control the Jebao pumps, but it was the deciding factor.
I was looking at getting a controller and trying to decide on which one and I like the way Roberto jumped in and figured out how to get it to work on the controller.

Then I started watching the RA forum and I liked the support that he was giving people and the speed at which questions were answered.

The regulator goes before the controller.
The power supply plugs into the regulator and then the regulator plugs into the controller.

The plugs are the same as what is on the Jebao. Just plug and play.

Just set up a few months ago. Right now it is mostly softies and lps but I plan on having some sps as well.

Here is a video of 1 WP25 in my 55 gallon.

WP25 - YouTube

I think it is still to strong, so I hooked it up to my Reef Angel and left the speed at a 35-50% ramp I set up for my WP40.
It's a little to low now so I'll probably boost it up to 45-70%.

Sorry I can't figure out how to embed it in the post.

Wow is that the only pump running in your 55? That's a lot of flow if so! I ordered 2 for my 40 breeder sps tank but I will have to really dial them down with a voltage switch or sell one of them....or maybe use it as an excuse to set up a second tank! Lol

Yeah that is the only pump besides my return pump, which is about 800 g/h, but there is no current or movement when only that is on.

Lol im starting to wonder if 2 of these on my 75 gal is gonna be way overkill

I think it may too. Jebao rated this pump for 25-75 gallon tanks, but I think that is off.
This seems like i may be good for 90-150's and the WP40 for tanks over that.

They're $70+tax, what happened to the $30 price?

Haha dude $30 is what the cost was the guess price was .
there was a GB that was $48 plus ten shipping on up to 4 pumps.

I'm just a tad bit sad about the built in speed control 😔but its ok
Wp-25 looks more attractive than even wp40 I just can't wait to throw two in my 65gal :)

You guys Prefer laptop voltage controller or LED dimmer ?

I am actually kind of p**** about something. When did this pump suddenly become 8000 l/p???? I have been following the wp40 thread and prelim info from Jeboa had the l/p much lower (this was only a month ago). Tough to find it in the thread now, lol, with 3000 posts, but there were many people in the 50-100g range that got the 40's because of the 25 wasnt going to be powerful enough...now I have a pump that I throttle down and thats 3 times the size in my 65.
