Jebao WP25 Information

It goes like this...

Cool thanks,

I know the wp40 has a wide flow. How goes the wp25 compare to that or like a Koralia as far as width of flow?

I never had a Koralia but I was one of the original testers for the WP-25 and I decided not to keep it because I liked the wider more dispersed flow of the WP-40.

As far as power I felt the WP-25 was just as power full as the WP-40 (at least in my 55 gallon) and if I was going to have to reduce the speed of either pump I liked the wider flow of the WP-40 better.

Im going to replace the new wp25 in my tank with my old WP40 to test the width of flow. If I get more water movement without beating up my lps corals I may stick with the wp40.

Just received my second WP25 with the new controller. I thought I would document the power consumption and water movement of various modes.

H1 mode consumes about 20W of electricity and the flow is constant and the strongest. S1, S2, and S3 has no effect in this mode.

H2 mode consumes about 15W with constant flow. S1, S2, and S3 has no effect in this mode.

H3 mode consumes about 9W with constant flow. S1, S2, and S3 has no effect in this mode.

W1S1 mode consumes about 18W with control knob at 12 o'clock position. Lower power consumption if knob is turn counter clockwise. The pump pulsates in this mode with shorter burst when knob is turned to the left and longer burst when knob is turned to the right. S1, S2, and S3 changes the speed of the pump in W1 mode.

W1S2 mode consumes about 16W with same knob position as above.

W1S3 mode consumes about 12W with same knob postion as above

W2, W3, and Else mode to come .....

W2 mode seems to be a variable speed mode with power consumption varying from 10W to 18W. S1, S2, and S3 has no effect on W2 mode.

W3 mode seems to be the same as W2 in terms of power consumption and varying speed. Again S1, S2, and S3 has no effect on W3 mode.

ELSE mode also seems to be similar to W2 and W3 with variable power consumption and pump speed. Again S1, S2, and S3 has no effect on ELSE mode

If you internet speed is good, you can open several of the videos to have a side by side comparison.

Silly question, anyone part of the MARSH group buy and not in Texas receive theirs? Can't call the shop, no replies to a couple people asking in their thread.

Don't turn this thread into a group buy thread or this will be closed. Group buy can only be organized by local forums not in this general forum.

Agree, my group buy thread was closed. Should've keep this thread clean for information.

Simon have you tried the light sensor that michaellee64 mentioned? I want to get a bunch for our local club but haven't confirmed with him yet if they work 100% in the dark. They look similar to the ones come in with Jebao.

Mac, I have no need for the light sensor as I turn off all PHs at night with my RKE controller. I will have to let someone else report on that.
