Jebao WP25 Information

Right I just ordered a dimmer for the second pump was planing to run just one pump on it . Don't what to run it if it might damage it :(

This is the first instance I've heard of a dimmer causing problems with the controller or pump.

Everyone thought it was possible, but it never happened.
I know I had an LED dimmer on my 40 for about 2 months and never had a problem.

I had one of the original drivers running on a dimmer and it never caused a problem. It may have just been a coincidence.

Eric emailed me tonight. He asked for a video of what it is doing. I posted a video on YouTube and he is going to send another controller to me free of charge.

Can't really ask for more than that. He did say I would be next week as they are out of those controllers currently.

I have an extra MP40 driver from one of my Vortech's. I wonder if it would be possible to control a WP40 with it? I suck at electronics though...

When I put mine on a dimmer it causes a few problems. If I go below about 80%, the night mode light comes on and feed mode will not work. Also when power is lost it does not retain its settings. If I crank it back up to 100% on the dimmer then everything works fine again.

I bought 2 x wp25 jaboa's on 2th of june directly from fishstreet.. they have arrived on monday 22th of june.. the boxes of the pumps were soaking wet (falling apart) and the pumps were open in de sending box.. the adapter i couldnt use normally for europe there is a free europian plug with it.. it was NOT in my box i had to buy a travellerplug for all countries.. and both pumps were not working at all....
When i did email to hong kong.. they said I had to return the pumps back to them( shippment for them account) then they would refund me.. but our Belgian post didn't accept that so I had to pay 56$ for shippment again...
The whole shippment was a complete mess of those pumps.

I have order in meanwhile a wp40 now and i am still expecting for arriving.

I have emailed them i rarther prefere two WP25 in replacement because the size of the pumps in a 79 gallons (i don't mean de flowrate) but the size they are smaller for my tank but i don't think they understand why in hong kong.. because i get alsways the reply of the flow.. that wp25 and wp 40 are suitable for my tank... they just don't get it I LIKE the SIZE of a smaller pump... sigh double sigh :sad1: so no i am not very satisfied of all

this is the way my pumps came out of the sending box (sending box xas dry inside and outside no waterdamage at all)

Small question would it be possible to run 2 pumps on one controller?

Not on one stock controller, unless you make a modified Y connector to connect both pumps to the controller.

miranda60;
Have you contacted the shipping company or had Eric @ FS contact them.
It seems like they would be responsible since it most likely was not shipped like that.

It was damaged in shipping.

That what I was thinking Y of the stock controller and see if it will work as I have spare controller might be worth to try it.

I just can't see how a Y connector from one controller to two pumps will work as the voltage will be split. Each pump will only get half of the voltage from the controller. The stock power supply is only supplying 24V so each pump is getting 12V.

Yeah i have contacted eric about it .. i had to send the pumps back to him..
i have doubts about shipping damage cos the brown sending box was intact no waterdamage at all... it was shipped by postmail.

They would be getting the same voltage, unless wired in series. They would, however, be getting half the amperage, which probably isn't being limited in any logical way (pump asks for this much, it gets this much) so it would actually try to pull twice the amps through the controller and from the PSU (could break one or both, depending on how they are wired).

Sorry I mis-read your post I thought you said the exterior box was damaged as well.

no thats why i wondering about what Eric said about rain damage...if it was rain damage the exterior box would be damaged too or you should see something at least but I didn't see anything inside or outside its was all dry ... so i still wondering what happend with all...

are you sure the shipping company didn't put them in a diffrent box? around here if the box is damaged they will usually repackage it.

I finally got around to putting the WP40 back in my tank to replace the 2 Wp25s which was purchased to replace the wp40. I gotta say I like the flow of the wp40 better. Not because the flow is stronger, but because the flow is wider. I feel like I am getting more widespread flow with the wp40 without violently bashing my softies and lps. Not sure if I wiil even use my wp25s now. Oh well, I like my wp40 even more now.
