Jebao WP25 Information

IMO, with the modern style of wave pumps I think we need to rethink flow rates as it relates to the pump itself. When you can vary the speed and frequency of a pump, you aren't going to need as many GPH since you can create a 'resonance' of wave flow specific to your aquarium... So in the past where you needed a metric s*** ton of flow rated in gph, you don't need that with a stream pump that can create a wave motion in your tank.

I say this after purchasing a pair of wp25's for a 60 cube. I think I could have gotten away with a single wp10 that was tuned to the tank.

What I like about having the two 25's though is being able to really able to crank them up to create a storm that I use to blow detrus from the rock.

Has anyone had any experience with the Jebao Twins Linkage Controller? I'm assuming this is a controller that can run two pumps in sync?

I'm in the process of building my 90g and was thinking about picking up two WP25's but would like them to be in sync if possible

My WP25

My WP25

Dear, received my WP25 yesterday and was delighted about the strength she has and with his quiet and efficient operation.

But I noticed two details that still did not understand and maybe you can help me. The first is that with the photoelectric sensor triggered it stops working in W3 (which is the wave that I'm using) and becomes a steady stream. Only this flow, rather than being smooth, is very strong, ie, I thought it best to leave it in W3, removing the sensor. Is that so? The power in this case should not be much reduced in night mode?

The second detail is that i did not like the trigger "Feed" mode. The button is the same as changing the waves and when tightening, changes to the next. As I push the button?

Thanks!

On the fish-street website, which shipping option do you choose? One option is: shipping to USA/Canada/Mexico-$11.38, or nj warehouse-$3.00?

I don't know about you, but I would rather pay $3 than $11.38.

The $11.38 is shipped from China while the $3 is shipped from New Jersey.

Shipping from Jersey would probably be a bit faster then from China too.

To activate "Feed Mode", you need to hold button down until the feed light comes on. This will shut your pump off for 10 minutes. Make sure you don't get in the way of the sensor light when doing this, because it will turn the pump right back on.

Really 2 25s or 1 wp40 in a 300 gallon is your recommendation?

For that tank for sure 2 wp40. You have a lot of options actually.

If you want more creative flow you can go with more pumps say 4 wp25.

If you want less pumps say 2 wp40 and a single 25 or 10 or even 60 depending on how much and where you need flow. And your rock work. More details would help...

Having multiple pumps are nice so you can service one pump while still having the other run in your tank.

Also redundancy is nice in case one pump fails.

Can any of you electronic superstars let me know what kind of photo sensor I need to order to make this function work in the opposite way? I would like to use my sump light turning on at night to trigger the low speed option. I know they make normally open and normally closed sensors but do not know enough about the subject to identifie the part included and find the opposite. Thanks

Dear, thanks for the tip.

And on the question of the night sensor? Does anyone know if being in W3, for example, when the sensor is activated nighttime wave type changes? Should not be a W3, but weaker?

Thanks!
