Jebao WP25 Information

Afaik they are all the same connectors the PSU for the different pumps varies I think. I know the standard WP25 is 24VDC.

They are all 24v DC only difference is the amperage of the different supplies that come with them. One could easily run a bunch off a much bigger power supply to consolidate things.

Question.
Same controllers?

Different controller. The wp10 does not have the light sensor. Otherwise I think it does not matter but I've not measured control voltage on the wp10 but see no reason they would make it different.

As far as I am aware all the controllers are interchangeable. But the power supply must be sized for the pump (or larger than needed)

Sorry if this has been covered, but the thread is getting crazy big.

What's the difference between those labeled "2014 model" ? What changed?

40B...whatcha think? One Wp25 or two WP10s?

Always chose to have more power head IMHO because it's more versatile, flow is better because ability to hit more dead spots, opposing power heads creates chaotic flow of you point them at each other and wave mode, also there is as much flow in there however is less likely to create a sand storm or blast corals.

I have two 40s on a 120. Many said it's overkill but I have one on W1 and this gives me a perfect side to side wave. The other is W2 long pulse and these two completely different flow patterns and timing create a beautifully chaotic flow with no dead spots. I've got LR nearly filling the tank and detritus doesn't build up anywhere.

I just bought one that said 2014 model but never had one so I don't know the difference.
I would be interested to know also.
I am setting it up today. It does have 2 little sensors in plastic bags that I guess are for light but I haven't read the directions yet......lol

Has anyone tried the fs14000 or the fs8000? They sound like they may be updated versions based on forum comments.

Ok, question. I'm having a sandstorm in my 65 mixed reef. I don't have a dimmer yet. Would there be any harm in using the night mode and covering the sensor with a piece of tape to keep it ramped down?

Thanks!
Love this thread, BTW

several people have had issues with coming out of night mode. My suggestion is to get a smaller WP. That would mean a smaller foot print in the tank, maybe do 2 wp10's (not much larger then a golf ball each). But for now, place it in the middle of the glass and point it upwards at an angle.

Grrrrr .....mine stopped working today. Took everything apart and soak in hot water but that didn't help. Already tried another controller.

The controller is getting power, but the pump isn't running?

This is a WP 25, correct?

If you have a voltmeter check the output of the controller and see if you are getting voltage out of the controller, to the pump.

Yup controller has power but pump doesn't run. I can tell the impeller is trying to spin since it slightly moves. I already plugged in another controller and it's pretty much the same thing.
