Jebao WP25 Information

I have one that quit last year. Kept it for parts, already stole the impeller, I've contemplated cutting it open.

Hack away, It's just a paper weight right now anyway right? I suggest you document the effort like a surgical procedure, carefully peeling back the layers one at a time until you find the gooey center bits :lolspin:

Gonna hack mine up. What should I look for? Bad copper? Do I slice this thing up in the rear seam?

I finally pulled the trigger and purchased the twin controller with 2 wp25's. These will go in my 75 mixed reef replacing 4 Koralias.

I read through most of this thread and understand about the extra cleaning requirements. I am using a rke so wont be hooking it up. Going to use the controller it comes with.

Any other advice before i set them up? Any advice on placement and or settings on the twin controller? Any "lessons learned" with these pumps?

Got them last night. Based on what I have seen, I decided to use one in my tank for now. Good flow. Nice wave action. Running one on wp1 @ 50% power. Two were too much imo. I can always add the second one if needed later, use it as a backup or alternate them at cleaning time.

Has anyone seen any research on possible negative impacts to the structural integrity of a tank using a pounding wave action vs' a constant flow from a regular Powerhead? Watching my tank with this ph got me to thinking about it.

I have two Tunze 6025's in my 75 gallon mixed reef tank. Each is rated for 740gph. I am looking at upgrading my pumps and was initially gong to get vortech's, but now that I read about these I might give them a try. My question is which one should I get and how many? Are these controllable through an apex controller?

think a 25 is too much for a 40B? I'm planning on a mixed reef

also whats the consensus on longevity and cleaning schedules?

Maybe a 25 only, should be okay but may need to dial it down. I used 2 25's in my 120. I never clean them. no issues with loss of power, or I am just used to them like that.

I suppose if I go with a 25 I can stand to lose some power in a tank my size. I'm more worried about them crapping the bed than anything

What pumps would you guys recommend for a 65g 32X24x20?

Im thinking two wp25's with the dual controller.

Will this be way overkill? Im not looking for a wave effect and will most likely run them on else mode, and would prefer two wp25's on the lowest setting over two wp10's maxed out.

Thanks,
Lakeshow

On Else mode, you can't adjust the flow.............so if you are oversized to begin with, Else mode will not work for you.

I have 2 WP25's in my tank, and they are too much on W3 or Else mode. I'm thinking I should have gone with WP10's so I could use those modes.

What size tank do you have?

I have a 55 and 2- 25s on else is too much. I think if I had a controller on each instead of the dual. I could have one on else and the other turned down maybe on constant low flow for a counter current. The adjustable power supply works to slow the else down enough but I am worried about burning out controller that way so I only use it on 24v

Dang thats a bummer you cant control else mode, im not into the wave effect on the surface so i might get two separate controllers.

How do you think two wp10's on else mode would handle a tank this size? (32x24x20)

They need to come out with a wp17.5 haha , reading through some pages of this thread and it looks like a lot of people are looking for flow in between these two sizes.

Right.........the WP10 does 1000gph and the WP25 does 2000gph..........so something around 1500gph would be nice.

I'm trying to find a swap for my 25's to someone who has 10's and wants more flow......so far I can't really find anyone.

Doing a little more research on these it looks like I could get away with 1 wp25 for my 75 gallon tank. The one pump would have more flow than both my existing Tunzes combined. My rockwork takes up most of the middle of the tank so I was thinking of setting a wp25 in the front. I may also add a wp10, set on low speed, in the back to make sure no crap settles there. Thoughts? I also noticed that there is a new version of the wp25 labeled fs8000, anyone running this? Finally, are there any other online stores to purchase this from or is everyone getting them from fish street?
