Jebao WP60

Rhinonm,
You have one and you stated you have not used anything to lower the flow, but I purchased 2 for my 180 gal. and I think it is a little over kill and I don't want to blow the fish around the tank. Am I correct? or am I just over thinking it?

I only use W1 @ the lowest speed (s3). Anything else is too bukkoo. I have the pump on a simple timer to run 8 hrs a day (daylights hrs). I run two tunze 6095 on pulse 24 hrs a day. The w1 setting gives a nice wave action during the day. The wave is a more "back & forth" action as opposed to a constant blow with other settings.

Interested to hear if 2 of these is indeed too much flow for a 6ft 180g and if I need to look back at the WP40's.

Id buy the wp-60 and dial it down if needed. Its easier to dial back than dial forward. Since these are DC you can always lower the voltage if needed.

I don't have much sand in my tank but what I did is now piled up in 2 spots basically from the wp60 and it did get a little crazy at first even on speed 2 in exactly the same spot a wp40 had been, everything is good now so 2 wp60's would get the 180g flowing big time.

I only have one wp60 but I also have mp40's and a wp40 on my 180g and flows looking great.

Hey thanks for the input. My tank is 1" also. Is the attachment/ magnet holding the pump in place ok with 1" thick material? Thanks,---Rick

No its not. I put glue on the pump mount to hold it in place. Its on the back wall so Im not worried if I need to take it down and leaves a blemish.

rhinonm,... thanks for the input. I think read on the wp40 thread that guys with 1" tanks were getting stronger magnets off of ebay. I have a couple extra pairs of glass cleaning mags. I'll try.---Rick

These are really cool, I am going to have to consider a pair for my 150. Can these be synced up in any way or do you just have to play around with the settings until it works out?

They can be synced up using a 3rd party controller like and Apex or Reef Angel.
I think I remember reading that if you start them at the same time and have the same settings that they stay pretty much in sync.

Do you guys think a 25 will be to big for a 40 gallon sps tank?

I think it would be unless you put a dimmer on it or control it with a 3rd party controller to slow it down.
