Has anyone delt with Jim Leyland before I purchased skimmer from him got no good tracking info and have contacted many times about it but he swears he shipped bu tUSPS says no such package online and if I call them with the tracking info I got and his address and mine they say no such package. I want to trust the guy bu tnot sure what is going on wa ssuppose to be here almost a week ago

Hi,
I have delt with Jim before and he seems honest to me. Sometimes it's very easy to slip a digit in that big UPS tracking number. Find out where he shipped it from(UPS store?) and they might have the tracking number. Every time a package goes into the UPS system a number is generated.

First off you know i took the package to the post office last WENESDAY.. Second if i was going to "scam" someone it would be for a hell of alot more money than 55 dollars you can beleive that...Third i have a perfect ebay rating and lastly its not my fault that the post office didn't scan the package i sent you pics of the receipt that i paid with you info on it.. and another thing about bringing business into public rooms its pretty childish and shows lack of respect. I told you i sent the skimmer out wenesday, monday was a holliday no mail on sunday its gonna take a few days to get there..

It would be a good idea to look at archives of posts on this forum and "PM" folks who have dealt with Jim in lieu of dragging him through the dirt here. Just my 2 cents. I've dealt with Jim and can say he's a stand up guy. I'll vouch for him and I understand why he's a little peeved. Use a little introspection.

Those tracking numbers suck all around, by the way.....most of the time they don't even register until you already have your shipment.

Anyways, US Postal mail is horrible with tracking, it does not give your real-time tracking like UPS or Fed-EX, so bear in mind with the service that it was shipped with.

This happens to me more often than not. Sometimes it will register the morning of delivery.
Well I wasn't being childish just trying to find out what is wrong today after I talked to Jim on the phone I think USPS found package I have to go to post office in the morning to check it they sai dit was wet and label was hard to ready and I wasn't accusing anyone was just making sure hehe thanks Jim I will let you know tomorrow

The delay in tracking is mandated by new aviation security regulations. It affects all shippers, not just the post office, so bear in mind that you can't compare your experiences before the change with one service to another after the change.
I think it is reasonable for security. Knowing the real-time tracking and the airline schedule I often idly figured out what plane my package I was sending was on. It was fun to know before 9/11, but I am happier knowing that a bad person does not know.

Not to hijack this thread but in light of these regulations, UPS, Fedex and DHL continue to scan and update the package progress at every step of the way. The last dozen or so USPS packages I have received were not even entered into the tracking system until after the packages arrived.
