I know what you are talking about - swalesi was alos much more shy then the others. I moved my rubre to a tank with less light, less current and less active fish and see the couple now always in the open.

Iwill be out on vacation from next week onwards so my response time might be e bit longer

The yellowfin tomini tang will keep its color when it grows up. They grow hella fast though. Mine went from 1 1/2 to 3 inches in 3 - 4months.

However, they are a very shy fish. Mine rarely come out even for eating. Its healthy though.
