Joe Burger "FRAGS"

Very nice and I will be sharing this with our group and few students too. That is cool how I try not to get my shirt wet putting corals away and you have not choices.

Here are some pics of the corals coming out of the tank.

Some last pictures of the corsl right before the lights went off and the canopy was removed.

Joe:
Outstanding color at the bottom of the tank! If you don't mind me, I'd like to ask you a question. Have you had good luck in terms of color and growth with "aquacultured" pieces coming in with those round plugs on the bottom? How have they done for you long term? Or are you adding just wild caught specimens? What is your "quarintine procedure to new incoming corals? Any dips?

I haven't added any wild sps in a couple of years, all frags or aquacultured, but now mostly all frags from home tanks, most of which have done well.

Quarantine now is holding all corals in separate tanks and observation. If I know the tank real well from whence they came, I put them right into the display tank.

Joe.. You are ONE LUCKY and SUCCESSFUL dude!!l BEAUTIFUL is all I can say!!! You make us guys and gals drool with envy!

JB... holy cow! You must have a green thumb in coral rearing.. simply astonishing ......
you should be our next speaker , There's a lot to learn from you...

LOL thanks!

I been a speaker many times at the LIRA meetings, I don't think I've spoken for at least a year though. If the club wants me I'm always more than willing.

That table acropora would have been at least 2 times the size it was when it came out of the tank, but I only had so much room for it to grow. It's been fragged many, many times, and when I say frags I mean 4-6" cuttings off the branches. Most frags off that coral ended up being 2"x6" chunks as there was no other way to break it up.
