Joe's Juice

Does anyone know if any of the pet stores locally sell Joe's Juice? I have about 3-4 aiptasia in my tank I would like to eliminate before they start to spread.

Klaus I know sells aptasia killer. I use it from time to time we one pops up and it works good for me. Also, I always like to keep a few pep shrimp in my tank to help with control.

I am pretty sure PW carries it. Don't know about the other guys, I don't get into The Pet Store to often, and broadway is about the same for me.

I think I will just stop by Coral Reef and pickup some Aiptasia Killer. I read the reviews on it and it appears to work as well as Joe's Juice.

You could just use a syringe with real hot water and blast them with it. You can also use kalkwasser or calcium and blast them also. There are several methods to get rid of them if you search for them.

If you want to save some money find a grocery store that sells Ms. Wages Pickling Lime. It can me used just like kalk. Mix it strong and hit the aptasia. Might take a couple applications. I also use this in my top off water. Its lesss than $1 for a container. The Aptasia killer also works well. You might have to hit them a couple of times.

The Ms. Wages (kalk) works on majanos also. Along with the aptaisia killer. I have used all. Sometimes you just need to hit the majanos several times to get rid of them. I also tried the boiling water but had no results with that. A little background, I purchased my tank used with at least a hundred aptasia and majanos. I had to kill them a few at a time so I didnt put to much kalk in the tank at one time. after about 3 months I was down to finding about 5 a week. Now 5 months later I find 1 or 2 every couple weeks and kill them as soon as I see them.

I have had 2 mojanos that I have foune. I killed the one as far as I know. The other one looks like is split on me. I am working on killing them now.

I mixed Kalk or Mrs. Wages to a thick mixture with RO/DI water in a glass and draw it up into a large syringe I was given by a nurse. I inject the aptaisia and then fill the hole or encapsulate it in the thick kalk mixture. It is easier if you can remove the rock from the water. Upon returning to the water the white encapsulation will remain for a day or two working to rid the aptaisia if not in direct current. The Kalk mixture will dissolve and add to your calcium level. The morjanos were much more difficult I even took the rock out and burned them with a propane lighter. It stunk for a while and several did not return but some did. I kept repeating the encapsulation technique untill they finally succumbed.

Go with what cap1956 said....I've used joes juice and the kalk/water mix and both work the same. Just make it like a toothpaste thickness...
