JonezNReef's 180gal build

JonezNReef's 180gal build

Ok so I took the Bubble Magus off of the 180g system and put the Reef Octopus in. I then took my Coralife 65g Skimmer off of my 40gb and put the Curve 5 in its place. Now I get to wait for them to break in. The ReefOc is huge and almost didn't fit in the sump. I'm interested in seeing what it can do.

On a different note I am taking down the above tank fuge. I am considering moving my 180 over about a foot and a half. So that takes out my above tanks space and I'm not sure if I will include it with the upgrade I am considering. I'm moving the 180 down so I can put the 120 next to it.

Now the fun and bad news. The 120 has a small crake on the upper portion of a corner. I was looking over the tank today and was seeing how bad scratches were and checking the seams. It appears the person who gave me the tank closed the outside with what I'm guessing is superglue and on the inside epoxy putty. I planned on sanding and refinishing the whole tank anyways so what I might do is add a new corner inside with two pieces of acrylic. This is going to be a frag/ grow out tank inside of my fish room. So adding the corners to the inside won't be too bad since it's not a DT. It's only 16 inches tall inside so I think that this will work. This tank would take the place of the current 40gb system.
Any suggestions on what Weldon to use if I added say two 16"x3"X1/4" acrylic to make new corners inside back of the tank covering well past the crack. It's about 1/2" in length on the corner.

I will add a picture of the corner once I get it cleaned up. Right now it's a mess and I'm not sure how bad it really is.

I am planning on going this weekend to buy yet another 180 gallon 2'x2'x6' and a 120 gallon 2'x2'x4'. I plan on taking the new 180 and replace my current 180. My current was bought from someone that had it as a peninsula tank so the overflow is taking up much of one side of the tank. Also this tank was scratched up quite a bit and I have never been truly happy with the tank its self.
The new 180 on the other hand isn't drilled yet so I will be able to design and install the drains how I want. I am thinking of a ghost overflow so that very little room is taken up. As for the 120 I am not sure if I want to use this as a new sump or go ahead and save it to set up later with my other 120g Acrylic tank I am repairing or even sale it.
