+1 on the lights! did you make them or buy them?if you don't mind me asking where did you get them from? Looks like a great tank!

if you pick up a RIO.. stick with the original RIO line.. the new HP line i heard is a lot louder even tho certain models push a lot more water volume. i picked up all my LED products from Lighting Techniks.

UPDATE...

Finally after 2.5 months of nothing but a CUC... added my first few pieces of coral.

Gonna drop by the LFS tomorrow to pick up my 2 clowns.. and maybe a cleaner shrimp.

You have a beautiful stand! I applaud you for waiting so long for the tank to cycle, I know I couldn't resist but a week before adding fish and coral.

Very cool setup! Do you have a plan of attack for the hair algae?

Also, I'm curious about the clear PVC for your durso. I'd have guessed that clear would allow the light in, thus letting algae grow in the durso. How has it been working?

Where did you get the rock? I was under the impression that there was a collection ban on MI live rock.

Have a small amount from an old tank, love the MI rock.

Tank looks great BTW.

No algae in the clear PVC drain area. Hair algae in the dt is under control already. Only a few small patches left.

I found a place in Florida that still had left over MI rock from before the ban. Stuff is super expensive. But I loved the way it looked. Figured I might as well spend the money now and not regret it later on.

Got back from the LFS. Picked up 2 clowns. 2 cleaner shrimp. Owner hooked it up with some red mushroom. Purple mushroom. Green mushroom. Some hairy mushroom. And 3 more frags of assorted zoas. Will post some pics in a day or 2 after things open up. Probably won't pick up anything else for a few weeks. Gonna let everything settle in and let the tank adjust to the new additions.
