so hard to get a good shot of moving fish.. i dunno how some of you guys do it.. maybe cause im using a POS iphone camera.. haha. my only 2 fish for now.
So i had my first casualty in my tank... Green/Purple Hairy Mushroom is a goner. Couple days ago i noticed part of it started to detach.. then yesterday i came home and saw it had ripped in half.. half of it was on the sandbed. Took the rock and the ripped piece and put them in an intank refugium. THEN i noticed the problem. Hairy Mushroom was completely covered in flatworms. I checked my other mushrooms.. and noticed one of the red mushrooms had 3 flatworms as well.
Does anyone have any advice to get rid of flatworms.. Has anyone used Salifert Flatworm Exit without putting too much stress on the rest of the tank?
SO... LESSON LEARNED... DIP ALL your shiet before u put them into ur tank.
Other than that.. picked up a few more things in the past 2 weeks.
- Lawnmower Blenny
- Few more Zoa colonies
- Ricordea Mushroom colony
- Green Trumpet Coral
Random update.. everything looking healthy and growing nicely..
Placed a frag disc of 1 pulsing xenia next to the rock... xenia decided to ditch the frag disc and moved onto the rocks and split into 3..
getting bigger.. debating if i like it or not.. might take it back to the LFS..
my zoa rock.. hopefully they will eventually take over the whole rock.. finally starting to spread.... slooooowly.
trumpet coral... had 5 mouths when i picked it up.. 8 visible mouths now.. possibly a 9th forming..
Bubble tip brittle star... first time after almost 3 months ive seen it come out of hiding completely. 12 inches end to end when i first bought it.. now its 18 inches plus...
