I understand the priciple of in and out water movement from the pump, but what about when the pump losses power, wont gravity pull the water down the outlet side of the pump until the water has drianed below the oulet retuns in the two holes? How do i keep the water from back syphoning is my main question here? Why couldn't i use the two overflow holes drains for the feeds to the pump. Then use the outlets of the pump to pump through the two holes in the center of the tank and to the overflow outlet pipes to the top of the tank. Im just really confussed on how to stop the back syphon. maybe a valve or somthing I see people use holes in the bottom of their tanks all the time to add water movment but just am confussed on how. Thanks

Haha, I work in 39145 and live in Brandon. We'll have to compare tanks sometime after you get yours up and running.
That stand is a beast. Theoretically, it should actually hold about 9 tons. But I would suggest notching the 4x4s so the 2x6s can rest directly on a solid surface instead of just being bolted to the side of the 4x4s. The compressive strength of the wood is a hell of a lot more than the shear strength of fasteners (in most cases). Also, you need some lateral support.

No dude, wrap your head around this... One or two inlet holes in the back of your tank with the original two whole on the bottom for your outlet. As water is drawn in to the pump it is then forced out of the two holes you already have. If the power goes out to the pump, the water can't drain anywhere becuase there is no space for the water to go. If you have a leak in your closed loop pump or your plumbing that is a different story. But as long as your seals and connections are watertight there will be no drainage. Just no water movement. Capiche?

Well, good luck building the stand.
And, from west to east...Jackson > Pearl > Brandon > Pelahatchie > Morton > Forest

Glad you got it. So at what point in the overall setup process are you at right now?

A 400 watt bulb over an acrylic center brace, make sure you keep an eye on it so it doesnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t start to warp. I would think you need to raise it at least 1 foot over the brace.
