July BBQ and frag swap meeting

July ARK meeting: fun, food, and frags!
All interested in corals, food and fun are welcome. Even non-ARK members. Come check out a good bunch of people who want to share their hobby.

When: Sunday July 25th
Time: 12pm till 3pm
Weston, CT

Ill have the BBQ going, and the fireplace set-up as well for some grilling. Burgers, ribs, chicken, etc. Leave room for dessert. We have done this several times over the last couple years...always fun.

mini-FRAG swap. Ill have my 300g tank ready to cut some frags from...if possible lets try and have everyone bring a frag(s) for trading. We can also kick the ARK coral share program into high-gear as well.

** Note: the bridge on the valley forge is being replaced. You will see signs of road closed etc --> my house is the last house before the construction. Literally the bridge is next to the bottom of my driveway...dont feel that you cant get through -->just go past the closed road/stop sign. I live on the top of the hill on the right of the bridge(assuming the river is on your left) (it's a switch-back driveway). Easy.

Hey Scolley.

Not necessary to bring anything....maybe a frag to trade with the group if you would like and be ready to have a few spots open in your tank for frags you may get!!! Ill have all the food and sodas etc. ready. If you want beer you'll have to bring your own.

yea I was about to get some of those zoos from him but he got the flat worms right before i got to them so ..not anymore...=(...lol...............Yea cant wait to the BBQ hope it's nice out and not to hot etheir..Brian

Ive got a bunch of those blue zoas too -- was told they are tubbs, but Im not so sure.... You'll have to let me know. Im certainly no zoa expert. Will plan to frag some stuff fresh out of the tank at the BBQ.

Blue zoas. Not sure what people want to call them as I am not into the crazy names other than when I'm ordering. Due to the flatworms in my grow out tank (might flat worm exit it by then) I will not bring frags from that tank unless someone wants them. Not many flatworms are left but since they reproduce asexual it only takes 1 to make more. I have plenty of softies from my other tank that is pest free if anyone would like some.

I would like some blue zoas. I will bring some things. My tank is pest free...although not algae free. I have done the same thing I do every year, neglect my tank in the summer because I spend every minute I can outside (I work at home, but have a laptop that is built for outdoors use...and a pool...and go golfing...).
