If you have never been to a D.A.R.C. meeting before you have missed quite a bit. At June's meeting Brian showed us how to make rock for your tank. At May's meeting we had a raffle for 2 pieces of Idaho Grape Monti cap and a $100 gift certificate towards a custom sump. On top of that there were many great people to meet and lots to learn.
I am very happy to say that we have another great D.A.R.C. meeting planned for July 21st at 1:00pm at Tony's (68RUSTANG) house. Directions
Tony and Leilani's address:
5191 south Espana Court
Centennial, CO 80015
Our 150 gallon bowfront is based around the Berlin Method. The 200 lbs of live rock is arranged to resemble the many wall dives I have done over the years. Lighting the tank from a suspended canopy is three 250 watt 10k Hamliton bulbs, two 140 watt URI Super Actinic, and DIY moon lights. The corals are softies with colorful Zoas, Monti caps, and a few recent SPS. Recent fish additions are a female Coris Wrasse and a Clown Tang. The underneath sump and skimmer are made by Life Reef (local bulider - arvada). Alk,Ca, and Mg are maintained by the DIY two part mix.
As always if you could bring a snack to share with others it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave & Rob
