July meeting @thefuz

Hiya folks. The July meeting will be at my house in Norwalk on Saturday, July 23rd from 11am-2pm(ish). I'd like to get a head count early on so I can set up some food and drink - most likely a sub of some sort (let me know if there are preferences out there; otherwise I'll just go with my heritage and hook up some Italian combo). Topics I'm throwing out there:

Algae Scrubber setup and maintenance
Mine's been up for about 2 weeks and there are several others in the group that have been running successfully at much longer intervals.

Hyposalinity in QT
Since I just started this up (hippo tang, yellow tang and percula), I can go over my process and I'd love to hear from anyone else on their level of success with this method. I just took the 29 down to slightly below 1.010 the situation looks promising so far.

DIY battery backup for Vortech pumps
RTMA; hope you're OK with me suggesting we do this at the meeting. Seems like there's definitely interest out there, just not for a separate session. Figured it might make sense to host it at my house (selfishly, I'd love to set one up! :P ).

I'll post follow up info as it comes in, including some tank photos and such. My 90 is just a baby, so there will be less to oggle and more to time to discuss the topics above. Directions are located on the ARK site. Hope to see you there!

Sounds like fun, I should be able to attend. Sure - we can discuss the Vortech diy backup if you want.

OK, that's 7. Looking forward to seeing you all! I'll have a sub for lunch from a local joint - probably combo or some such. Let me know if you're italian-combo-averse. Here are some photos from a few days back...

A few more at this location - and better views in person, of course (picked up a few new things over the weekend while down at the Jersey shore - RBTA!).

Awesome pics! Wish I could see these in person.

I have to back out of Saturday's meeting--forgot that we had already made plans to go to the cottage this weekend. And just for future reference, I love Italian subs. Have a great time, guys.

Sorry I couldn't make it yesterday! Sucks that I missed a fellow ATS'ers tank! How was the meeting?

You missed all the frags I handed out!!

Ha - if only. The 4 of us had a great time though, you guys were missed. You're welcome to come over whenever though if you want to compare ATS notes. Speaking of... I'm off to clean it!

How was the meeting?
Sorry you could not be there! It was a great meeting. Thefuz's tank was nice BTW too! It's young, but coming along very, very well. It's really cool to see a new reefer setting up a new tank - but has done their research, and is taking the appropriate time and caution as it grows. His patience and research is going to pay off. His tanks is already showing it IMO.

Sorry you couldn't make it.

Oh... the food was good too!

Great meeting. The tank looks fantastic. Watching it mature over the years is going to be great. Many thanks again to Mike for hosting.

Ah...too bad, can never make it to the weekend meetings.
Hmmm... I've been wondering if we need to try some week day meetings. Will definitely talk that up, see what people think. At least one every once in a while anyway.

Thanks! Maybe we'll see you if we can arrange that!
