Jumping Clowns

I just lost the female of a pair of ORA ocellaris due to overnight jumping. I have rimless tank. What do you other rimless owners do, if anything, to prevent jumping? The same fish jumped into the overflow box a couple of weeks ago.

Both times, she jumped at night. Is the incident rate of jumping much higher at night? Do many people cover the tank at night? With what?

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I had a clownfish jump into the overflow of my JBJ 24 gallon. She never did it again..It's not common for clownfish to jump.

Does the clownfish have an anemone, or is it hosting anything? If scared, the clownfish would go to this safe haven rather than attempt to carpet surf.

I'd get the clownfish to host something. My clownfish have been to the upper part of my tank before and if something scares them they DART into the anemone on the bottom...never up to the top
