June 2nd, Bring on the Fish! Some Show Tangs for Sale

Pirates Cove Reef
I have had to pull all the fish out of my 400 because of a bad case of velvet. The fish have gone through 2 rounds of copper and the survivors are all doing well. Copper was tough on the wrasses, but the rest are doing well including my Copper Band. Too be safe I need to go fishless for 10 weeks and I had one last fish we have been trying everything to catch. Yellow Assesor is out!

Scooped him tonight so the clock starts from today. June 2nd Fish can go back in the display:)

I have three large show fish that are just to big to keep in bins the next 10 weeks that have gone through 2 rounds of copper and are fat and healthy.

10" to 11" show Sohal with Streamers, this is a big fish that gets along with most other fish, He needs to be the only Tang in a large tank, but he is beautiful. If you have a large tank with no Tangs he would be a great addition. He would maybe be ok with some established fish, but I would be very careful! He is worth double, but since I have to put a price lets say $200. If no one wants him maybe try to trade him in or take him to Aquarium of the Pacific.

Next I have 2 large Gem Tangs 5.5" and 6" they have been together, but in the 60 gallon tank they are in they do show aggression towards each other so they should go seperate. I am going to list these fish low priced do to there size, but will sacrifice them for $1300 each. These are both fat show Tangs that are incredible fish.

I will try and get some pictures if anyone has interest and not willing to ship at this time as they are very large fish and would have to go in huge boxes.

I will be out of town from the 29th through the 5th of April so keep that in mind if you are looking at this thread. I will consider trades for some super nice show coral colonies for the 400.

10 weeks from today! For those of you who join SCMAS there will be a Tank tour that ends at my house June 21st so come see the fishies:) We may even barbeque after for a late lunch.

Special thanks to my Wife for helping catch that little Yellow Devil. We have tried everything for over a month. Lucky Scoop!

Your Bin Leaks, bad! I do not know where, but the back side up against the wall. I wish I had found the leak before I set up! We could probably figure something out:)

Velvet was bad lost 1/2 of my fish to it and another handful to copper, I will never not quarantine another fish that goes in the display and this hard headed reefer has learned his lesson!

I had to deal with velvet once. Lost everything in like 24 hours.
I still don't always QT, I know I know but I don't have thousands in fish.
You need to use Lawrence's technic for catching fish.

Lawrence trick caught all the Tangs easy stun them with the lights on, the little assesor lived in a hole in a 150lb Rock structure that looks great, but not so easy to remove to catch fish.

I am pretty sure Velvet, but not 100%. The fish got light shy and stopped eating within a few days they started to die. At this time I pulled and put in quarantine and started copper and all the fish have done well with that. Within a week they were all eating and they have been through two bouts of copper and they all seem good. My thoughts are Velvet from what I have read, but who knows.

Too play it safe 10 weeks fallow and quarantine everything from now on.

To new beginnings Scott! Elizabeth and I are both looking forward to seeing your system on the tank tour. I have not forgot about the beer I owe you either.
