In June, we will be holding a special meeting - A Frag Farmers Market. This event will be supporting Jon Swanson's E.O. Smith project.
1. People will be setting up tanks of home grown corals, or at least frags. The whole idea of my project at the school is to get people to use more aqua-cultured stuff so homegrown is preferred. The whole idea is that people will be able to come and shop for corals from different people's systems, so I encourage people to not post their stuff with prices and have people commit beforehand but rather set up a tank and let people chose when they get here.
2. It will be from 1-4pm on Sunday June 8th at E. O. Smith.
3. Admission will be free unless you want to set-up a tank.
4. People who are interested in setting up a booth should get in touch with Fitch4 for payment. The cost will be $25 to cover the cost of a tank, at least 10 gallons, outlets to plug into and heated salt water if you want it. The $ goes directly into the school project. Jon will not have lights or heaters for people but might be able to come up with some eggcrate racks. The tank choices will be the first paid will be given first choice. People are welcome to bring their own tanks (within reason) to set-up, just please let Jon know so he doesn't get one for you. Jon will come up to school early that day (sometime in the morning) if people want to set their stuff up early to get it to open for the meeting. He need people who will be setting up tanks to let him know ASAP and they must let him know and pay by June 4th.
5. Jon is planning to have a raffle but don't have a definite list of things yet. Again, all the proceeds go to the school project.
If you think that you want to set-up a tank but might not have enough stuff, split a tank with someone. Let Fitch4 know if you have any questions.
We will not be creating a trading thread. If you have some equipment you want to sell, I suggest you list it in the Classifieds section on the CTARS site. If you are a business and you have some dry goods or equipment, let me know and I will post it in the Members Only section.
