so its a 72 gal AGA bow with built in over flow
and a 30gal AGA that i had a friend glue baffles for me. Not sure if I like the sectioning setup on the sump/refuge.

i have an Auto top off setup on it.

currently don't have the skimmer on it, but I'm going to hang an RemoraC on the left edge of the sump once I'm finished cycling.

I'm not sure how I should secure my return line or reduce vibration with my mag drive 7 to cut down on noise.

ignore the painters tape

durso standpipe one on the left is a back up in case the one on the right fails

any suggestions on where I can improve? I think the water level on my durso pipe is a little to high, maybe because I have to large of an air hole on the top?

I haven't been running my lights on it, but the tank IS currently in direct sun light during the day for about 4 hours, once I put my lighting up I will be blacking out the window.
I'm wondering if this is bad while I'm cycling the tank? Should I put the lighting on now?

any advice or suggestions are appreciated.

The sunlight shouldn't really matter while you are cycling. But at some time it will affect algae growth.

Those elbows in your return line might have something to do with the noise of the pump.

any suggestions about the elbows. Why would they cause noise? Whats an alternative.

I know the sunlight will cause algae bloom; as soon as the cycling is done the window is going to be blacked out. But thanks for letting me know, I appreciate all he info.

I think its because it makes the pump work a little harder. Alternative? Flexible hose is what I'm using.
