Just a few random photos taken with a Sony H3

I bought my son a Sony H3 for Christmas as he has been begging to start to try to take photos. So I snapped some shots of my tank. I must say its a sharp camera but the colors are nothing compared to my Nikon D40.

These were taken with my D40 SLR Stock kit lens

This is the same coral above shot with the Sony but this photo is shot with my D40.

I need to mess with the H3 some more as I think I might be missing some settings to get the color more true but so far it's a really nice point and shoot.

nice shots, excellent sps btw... and WOW, i cannot believe the color diff between the two photos... something seems amiss here... that color shift is incredible....

Have you figured out the cause?

Thanks I really can't explain the color shift and it being so drastic?

I guess two different cameras and one is point and shoot and the other is an SLR? I guess the Nikon captures color much deeper than the Sony?
