Angela - if you want a 20k bulb that burns white, try radiums. I had them on my big tank and liked them MUCH better than the bulb I've got right now. They need to be run with HQI ballasts to over drive them, but the colors you'll get with radiums are outstanding.
Herefishyfish, I've found the sunset monti to be SUPER hardy. It has taken a beating. The rainbow I had isn't in that tank. I sold it when I downsized. It was a beauty, though.
