Gary,
you like the RS nitrate kit? Haven't used it in a couple years(been using salifert but didn't like the process or color matching) and only tried the NYOS out this time when needing another kit. Only thing about the NYOS kit is it starts at 1ppm, how far down does the RS kit go? Seeing as I have 0 fish right now, I'm going to start dosing nitrates as my corals are looking rather bland since I've been testing 0's for the last couple months. I would like the most accurate kit available. NYOS is an easy process, just don't like how it starts at 1ppm. I would prefer something with a little better resolution.
I do like the RS Nitrate test because of the low resolution feature. .25 to 4 and your can change the amount of test water diluted with RO water and get results above 4. I typically test with salifert first to get an idea of how to proceed with the RS. One draw back is a waiting time for color development of nine minutes. I generally to that test and then other test during the none minute period. I am for NO3 of 2.
