My battle? They won, my acros lost the tank this happenned to, has zero acros now.

has anyone thought about Acropora Crabs keeping acros free of aefw and other pests?

I have one mini colony with an acro crab, and that acro is growing really well relative to my others. Do you think introducing a crab onto your acro may be a solution?

I have no idea, I wish there was more information on acropora crabs.

I think my acro crabs actually befriended the AEFW. Their colonies were hit just as hard.

I have heard that these MIGHT help, but there is no way to get them as of yet. The only way to import them is with a coral. They are almost impossible to remove from corals in the wild, and will most likely perish before they get here, even if you could catch one.

If given substrate to be shipped on, they usually fair very well. It's not that they can't be collected, it's that the time/effort to collect them, won't equal the small amount of money they'd get for them.

all about fish in pleasant hill usually has an acro crab on all of their larger acro colonies. I've gotten three acro colonies from them, all of which had acro crabs =)

It is well documented in several AEFW threads that the acro crabs do little to help against AEFWs. As Gresham has unforuntately experienced first hand

We are still battling them here and have lost some prime acros to them, but we are far from giving up. Drastic measure soon to follow (supplies already acquired, it is just a matter of having the time to implement the plan).
