I'm not sure how to take pics of softies and especially the feather duster (the feather duster isn't a coral though) because even though I turn off all the pumps they still move from momentum and fish like to be near the corals:)
 
Looking at your exif data you are using an iso setting of 3200. Is your tank that dark? Are you zooming in to get your pictures? I'm asking because it shows your focal length at 250mm. Unless you have really high quality glass you probably aren't going to get super sharp images at full or near full zoom.

also anyone know a good macro lens for a rebel t3i? I need it cheaper. any advice on these pictures?
 
The Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 is also a nice lens, but a little more expensive.

Which lenses do you currently own?
