I just received my used 9010 today that I bought from another RC member, and it did not come with the attachment bracket.
I can not use it in sump as I don't have enough room.
I've sent the seller a pm but haven't got a response yet so I don't know if he has the bracket or not.
In the meantime I looked on the Tunze site but did not see a replacement bracket. Is there one available?
I did see that the magnets can be used for this purpose.
If I get one of those,is there any other part(s) needed?
I assume if you get the magnet then you dont need the bracket at all?
It looks like the magnet just connects straight to the tab things on the skimmer.
The skimmer doesn't have the lower suction cup either, but I'm assuming I can use one of the "feet" suction cups for this purpose, correct?
Also is there any downside to using a magnet vs the bracket?

There are two assembly/ install methods- in tank which uses the holder or magnets, the holder set is 3130.25 and the magnets do not need the holder. If set up this way you have to set it up for in tank which means without the bottom plate with feet, a different plate is used and some other changes must be made.

When used in sump it must rest on the feet on the plate and the pipe must be used. The in tank method can be used in sump but the water level cannot vary and must be at about the marked water line on the skimmer.

Can you elaborate on the "different plate" and the changes, as this is the method I will use.
Thanks

Do you have the manual? The bottom plate has slits cut in it for in tank use, it is a seperate part. The pipe is removed and a cap installed over the hole. The coupler between the pump and intake is removed as well.

No manual.
So I need a different plate and a cap to install over the hole.
Can you give me the part #s on those as well?
Is the bracket, plate with slits, and cap all included with a new skimmer?
Also is it ok to use one of the feet suction cups as the in tank suction cup? They seem to fit.

Roger I am the guy who sold the DOC 9010 skimmer to Abynum1 - please let me know what I need to buy to replace the original missing parts that came with the skimmer so that it can be used as a hang on type. Appears from your previous response that I need kit 3130.25 and a plate - part number? Are there any other pieces required? I bought this skimmer used also and I had it sitting in my sump so I never thought about what parts were missing so it could be used the other way.
Thanks,
Bill
Thanks,

No problem, I have the parts in stock. In fact if your not too particular I can get you the 3130.25 in brown at a pretty big discount. I have one set left in brown. The bottom plate is part 3130.02. The only other part is the cap for where the pipe inserts- part 9010.35 They aren't expensive parts.

I was thinking about using the magnet unless there is a downside to them.
However, the seller is going to pay for the parts needed so I would rather get the brown bracket to save him some cash as I think he got cheated out of the parts by the person he originally bought the skimmer from.
So unless the bracket really stands out,the brown would be fine.

I doesn't stand out and the magnets are very nice, they make it easier to install.

Ok I'll defintely go with the magnet.
How much for the brown bracket?
The seller is going to reimburse me for it,and I'm going to pay the difference to get the magnet.
In all fairness he should only be responsible for the price of the brown bracket, because had I decided to go with a bracket out of my own pocket thats the one I would have chosen.

We are closing down for the day, I hate to be lame but I want to get home and do some yard work. PM me an email address and I will email an invoice on Monday. Thanks!

The skimmer is brown so should not impact visually. I guess Tunze has changed the color of all their new model's plastic to black? Abynum1, just let me know what I owe you to cover and I will paypal you immediately.
Thanks Roger and Abynum1
