I am getting back into SPS again like any good crack addict!! I picked up a frag pack from a fellow reefer and this was a bonus. I can get better ppics witht eh macro lens if need be. It is growing, I think.

you are not going to get a definite ID on that, so small and brown, I think anyone who thinks they are giving an ID are just guessing....

Guesses are good too. I know the pics stinks. I'll get a better pic.

The former owner said that he doesn't ever see polyps. I didn't catch what coloration he did see. I have it setting low in my 58g with a 250w MH over it. "Smooth skinned" SPS are not my favorite, espcially after my last bout with Red Bugs a while back. But it was an extra and it has me curious.

When you have a better shot, it may be possible to narrow it down a bit, but it is rather small. Interesting in any case!

Maybe Anacropora Sp. Just a thought. They never have polyp extension that I know of.

I got it from Greg Hiller in Boston in December 2003. It was about 1.5 inches long. I thought it was dead but I stuck it down anyway. Now it's growing to the waterline. Probably the fasting growing SPS I have.

Looks like yours has a touch of peach/pink color. Funny how different lighting will do that. Here's what mine looks like.
