Sorry I havent been around in a while. Summer tends to keep me busy with other things and less with my tank unfortunatly. But winter is (also unfortunatly) coming and once again my attention is drawn back to my tank.

It weathered the summer fairly well. Lost a few things do to a couple warm days but most of my corals are doing fine. Even my Long Tentical Plate that I was sure wouldnt make it is doing fantastic. They arent hard to keep if mine is any indication.

I pop in and catch up on the posts as often as I can and am happy to see the increasing number of people who frequent the Southern Tier Reef Society.

Ill have to pop in more often now that I have more time.

Here is an updated picture of my tank. Its now 13 months old.

Wow, everything got giant! Especially that anemone!
and that Koralia needs to trim it's Algae-fro! JK...
Everything really looks great!

Thanks guys. Naaa i didnt get lost. Always know how to get back home :)

Yea Adam I do need to give the power head a hair cut. Its the last place I have left to clean. Had a fairly good bit of turf/hair or what ever kind it is algea on the back glass and on that one power head. I was kind of affraid to mess with it because it was only on the upper back glass and around the head. No place else. Thought if I trimmed it or tryed to remove it I would spread it to the rocks but so far Ive been lucky. It was actually so thick it was growing across the top of the water and shading some of my coral so I had to do it.

As bad as I neglected my tank over the summer I am happy things are doing as well as they are. Only a few are less than happy and to tell you the truth, the days of stressing out over every coral are long gone. If they like my tank great if not its to bad for the coral. Fighting and conflicts are rampid as thiings get bigger and the strongest will just have to push out the weak.

I have actually been thinking about getting rid of most of my sps and go softy. You all know im a MH guy but the heat is and always has been the down side of them. Im not buying a chiller and as soon as my bulbs are do to be changed I just may have some sps to get rid of. Im not sure yet.. I change my mind daily.

Hey Ryan: Great to see you back on the boards. Its funny but the other day i was wondering what you've been up to. Your tank has matured beautifully. I hear what you are saying about sps vs. softies. I too am constantly conflicted. I'll probably just merge my tanks into the 125 as a mixed reef and keep some of my sps.
