Just for kicks!

If anyone visits a Rainforest cafe to eat... or just to browse... Please take a look at the ID pictures on the fish tanks.

If you see a Ocellaris one, check out the spelling... "accellaris"

ask to speak to someone in animal care or the curator of the location and point it out to them! lol

I tried for 3 years to get them to correct the spelling!

I have seen like 3 different RC restaurants and never been impressed with the quality of their livestock. The yellow tangs all look like they are deteriorating, and have HLLE. I would think they know what they are doing and try to keep all their fish happy and healthy, but to my dismay, I have yet to see it. Just my opinion on the commercialization of the reefing hobby/industry.

Thats due to corporate... they insist on a 200-300% bioload and if the quarterly reports dont reflect that they will get repremanded.

Unfortunatly corporate also likes the look of tangs so large quantaties get thown in and beat the crap out of each other. Tangs are also the first to show signs of HLLE from poor water quality. Phosphates being off the charts on salifers test kit. Its just impossible to improve that with the restrictions they put on the animal care department.

thats why I hate big business; they are always out to make more profit and dont put the profit back into the business, unless they are George Steinbrenner, lol, you may not like him, but boy is he ever a great business-man!
