and all my fish are dead.

not all...but my bioload is now down to one foxface and a cleaner wrasse.

RIP:
4" sailfin tang
3.5" purple tang
4.5" powder brown
4.5" male lyretail anthias

the worst part is they all got along fine. they would swim around together, eat together, play together. anyone whos seen my fish swimming around together were always stunned that they were actually swimming together and didnt fight.

im trying to figure out what happened but its hard since paramaters are all out of wack from the decaying bodies. looks like the powder brown and purple tang were early casualties since they were decayed...that may have spelled the demise of the other 2. i dont know. at this point im pretty broken...sailfin was my first fish past the damsels. powder brown had character for days. the lyretail and purple tang were only in my care for the last few weeks but they were definitely healthy (im hoping since i got them from people i trust). params were stable before i left.

planning a large water change after work (im on my lunch break right now) and then i guess i start planning out the restock. probably going to put off any additions for a couple weeks to make sure everything is really stable since right now it smells like death.:sad1:

never leave your tank alone.. i always have someone check in on it...

sorry about that though

i had someone watching the tank. i blame it on either them with feedings or a possible blackout. i need to get a hold of them before i can really figure it out.

i doubt they were checking for dead fish. they were all wedged kind of under the rock work.

Sorry to hear but it doesn't seem wise to add 2 new fish and then leave. That doesn't seem like it was enough time for things to level out (ie fish temperment and params).

I had 3 fish together happily for several months till one of them turned on the other two and now it's the sole fish.

After you clean up the tank what do you have planned for it?
