Just got some 6100.10's, few questions

This weekend I picked up a pair of 6100.10 pumps with magnet mounts and a 7091 controller. These replaced 2 Hydor Koralia 3's in my 90 AGA, and the first thing I noticed was a lot of detrius being kicked up :D (looked like a brown snow storm).

I'm looking for the best way to set up the pumps with only one controller. I'm open to picking up another 7091 if I can find one for a good price, or just linking them together. I have one pump set about 50%, and the other one pulsing between high and low about every 7 seconds. After a day I could tell a difference in several corals. Is it worth it to get another 7091 and leave them separate, or should I spring for the 7095? I was planning to get an Apex and use that for controlling the pumps, but that had to be put on hold for a bit (maybe Xmas).

Overall these pumps are awesome! It's incredible watching the water level surge up and down on the side of the tank that's pulsing (not much, but noticeable to me) and seeing the surface disturbance (no surface film like I had with the K3's).

You get more control with a 7095 or 7096. If you want more options and are comfortable with using a computer, the 7096 is the better way to go and it is cheaper. Two 7091's don't really allow you to coordinate the pumps.

Ok, I wasn't sure if the 7096 would work with my pumps. I'm very comfortable with computers, got a few sitting around here from Win95/NT/98/2000/XP/Vista to iMacs and OSX...

I saw that they were cheaper and that is a plus. I'm not sure how old the pumps are (but they're in very good condition) so I wasn't sure if recent controllers would be able to communicate with them.

I guess I'll start looking for one of those. Thanks!

7096 works with the older pumps, nothing changed with how the pumps and controllers communicate since 2000.
