Just lost a bunch of fish

Tanks been up about 6 months period hundred twenty five gallon reef tank. All parameters were normal. Lost powder blue first. Then to clownfish one after another about a week apart than a manderan a week after that. I suspect it was marine Velvet maybe ich too. My yellow tang was looking very bad as well. Added a scarlet cleaner. Now the tang is looking better. I only have three fish left in the tank little yellow tang fairy wrasse and a lawnmower blenny all look really good right now. I'm in the process of setting up a quarantine tank. I'm not going to let this happen again. My question do I trap the three fish in the reef tank now. And add them to put them in the quarantine tank. And let my reef tank go for two months without any fish. And keep the three quarantine for 2 months is well. To make sure all of these parasites are out of the system. Or would it be okay just quarantine a new fish

If the other fish look good now i would just QT new fish and corals. Good luck!!

Cleaner shrimp or fish do not affect (eat) parasites. The ich life cycle involves lack of visible symptoms during some phases. Mortality timeline does suggest velvet

Yes. You have something, we don't know what but something, that killed your fish.
If I were in your shoes I would remove current fish and leave the DT fallow for 72 days. Since you don't know what killed the previous fish you need to be prepared to treat the survivors should you see signs or symptoms of ich, velvet or anything else.
And QT any new fish in the future.

Depending on the corals spot feeding. Also algae shouldn't be much of a issue unless you have excess nutrients
