just lost a maroon clown after 10 years :(

one of the first fish I ever got !

he was quite big when I got it, and was HUGE currently, housed in a 65G FOWLR tank ....

2 nights ago, I added a LTA to his tank, [had an extra one from another tank I took down] and the maroon was REALLY HAPPY. as soon as I dropped the anemone in, he hosted it, like it was the anemone he was born in ....

just now, I went home to feed him ... and found him dead inside the anemone ...

this is making me sad ... do you think old age ? or could he have died from hapiness of reuniting with an anemone ?

Not to sure . This is really sad i love my Pair of maroons . truly sorry

I don't know. I would tend to think something else happened - perhaps some pathogen that was introduced with the anemone. Maroons are pretty robust creatures. Sorry to hear about the loss
