What's going on here? Just my oberservation of late. Please don't get me wrong I have made a few of theses threads myself just wondering

Seems like SPS is expanding to more and more not so experienced reef keepers. I think with all the success in aquaculturing, SPS is now more available to everyone.......some just don't understand what it takes to keep it alive.

seems like this just cycles over the year to me, just like the ich threads, and the how do I cycle the tank thread...
Newbies seem to come in packs, which makes the not so newbies come in packs, which makes the ......

Yea I definatly benifited from reading here and have only been keeping Sps for about two years. It's kept me out of trouble and given me something to fill my time with. I just hope with each post like that people learn and progress instead of not listening and not researching. It is a little wierd because a lot of posts can be answered quicker by researching before you post.

Most of this stuff has been covered 100 times like redbugs or pics of redbugs and other pests along with the other problems people are running into. I think google should be the first place to check it will answer most problems if not all of them.

Yeah I understand newbies and even tried and true old school reefers having issues. I was stoked when I found RC and my local club

yeah google is a nice thing to look into but sometimes people just want to know they are not alone in the whole scheme of things nice to have feedback anyone can read about aefw but getting help from someone who has been there if priceless ..that is why I love this site..

Achieving a tank full of flourishing, healthy and beautifully coloured SPS corals is the pinnacle of reefkeeping. It takes a lot to get there. Of course someone new to the hobby can look over old threads etc, but the feeling of having someone currently advising and going through an issue is what a lot of poeple would like and it probably gives them confidence and a feeling of support, then just reading old threads. I know that if I had an issue and had some of the SPS legends offer advise and help, I would feel so much better than just reading some old threads and trying to work out my issue.
