Just noticed it, what is it?

My tank has been up for 14months now and just noticed this guy the other night...any idea what it is?

Looks like a teeny decorator crab to me.

not sure how teeny...looked like 1/2" or so! He is too creepy!

that's an interesting looking crab. It's not a decorator (otherwise it would have stuff on it) but it might be in the same group which also includes the spider crabs. It would really help to have a picture of the whole body looking down from above.

Might be easier said than done, first and only time i have seen him in 14months. Will try to get one though!

A crab from Majidae family. Might be Naxia aries but its really hard to identify these small crabs as there are many species. However, most of them are harmless.

When they get a little bigger, they'll tear zoos off to use as a howdy-doody headdress. Mine used to put a different color zoo every day, but then he'd go into a different colored zoo patch, so you'd see one odd zoo moving through the patch. So much for camoflage!
