i jus put the liverock in my 6 gallon. i changed the stcok pump out for a maxi jet 600 and a hydor flow. i plan on adding 1 small clown goby. although i may skip the fish because it is really small once you put the rock in the reality sets in. i am saving mine for the coolest mushrooms i can find.

hammer, the maxijet fit in the NC6? Im using the minijet 606 and I think the Maxijet600 is a little more powerful, also does the hydorflo just snap on?

the 600 fit but i had to dremel the intak flush and turn it at an angle. The hydor fit with the included fittings. I did trim the fitting length down by about 1/4" but other then that it snaps right in. Pretty good flow. I needed a heater to keep the temp at 77 even with the bigger pump. With out a heater the temp stayed at 73 in a 69 degree room. Makes me feel better for summer. It took a whopping 5 lbs of rock to make a nice little aquascape.

the 600 fit with out any mods, i just felt it would be better iin the long run to not constrict the intake to much since it was about an 1/8 from the glass.
