Just saw my dream tank!

Big Al's down here in Coconut Creek has on their showroom floor, a 150 gallon extra high. It was 4' wide, not sure of the height and depth. But it was gorgeous. It was priced at just under $500 for the tank itself, and had smallish corner overflows. Just big enough to get my had inside. Does anyone know of any problems with this aquarium? Going back to try and find more info. It'll have a 1100 gph closed loop with a motorized ballvalve, a 60 gallon sump/fuge (capacity will be about 40 gallons of actual water).

Perfecto make a 150 tall. The dimensions are aprox 48x24x30 high. +/-. Nice tank. The only thing I dont like is the fake wood look of the base and tan plastic/fake wood sticker canopy.

Petco sells the same tank...I know, I hate shopping at Petco, but they have great prices on tanks.

That particular tank is, as BJJ said, 48x24x31...I have the exact same tank, but mine was custom made at 48x30x31.

Petco sells the tank for $350.

Wow, much better price. Have to check that out. Is the $350 drilled and corner overflow?

They do have good prices--and its not like your buying their livestock.

Just the same as what youd get from the lfs---except your not paying your lfs... That was redundant!! lol

correction... just went back to take some measurements, it has one overflow left hand corner. I got it confused with a 120 I was talking to someone about there.

Reaching the bottom if you drop anything in the tank - aquascaping rock high enough can be an issue too - my dream tank is a 120 for those reasons

Getting light to the bottom will be an issue. I have 900w over my tank (40" tall)...

To arrange rocks and get to the bottom, I have a claw.

Ludwigia73, be sure to check out Beverly's Pets before you buy a tank. Their location at University & Pines stocks more tanks than anywhere I've seen, and the prices are fantastic for standard sizes.
