Hi me and my GF just setup a 90gal AGA w/overflows yesterday...

The setup consists of the follow so you all can get an idea:
1.90 Gal tank
1. Sealife Systems wet/dry. w/mag700 pump
1. Coral Life protien Skimmer (125 model)

We setup everything according to instructions the pump is down in the wet/dry of course. Along with the PT Skimmer.

For some reason though (odd) the out-take pipe that blows back into the tank to circulate the filtered water is blowing out "Micro Bubbles"

Any Idea how to stop that??? its like theres a thousand of them....

That is typical of a new skimmer to blow out those bubbles. It should subside in a few days to a week. In the meantime you can put some foam in the sump just before your return pump to catch some of those bubbles.

I am not familiar with your wet/dry but does it have baffles in it?
Can you post pictures of it?

You can see mine here:
http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=780206

It has 3 baffles in it to control bubbles although mine is not a Wet/dry its just a sump.

Do you plan on having corals or just fish only. Can you tell us more about your setup?

Regards,

Pat

The protien skimmer is'nt new. I had it in my 46 gal. only thing thats new is the wet/dry and the mag drive pump.

I'll snap some pictures in a bit..

Wonder if the mag drive has to break in a bit??

The mag drive should not cause the microbubbles.
I would have to say the bubbles are coming from the skimmer unless the flow into the sump is creating a lot of bubbles??

Pictures will help.

Regards,

Pat
