Just sharing the good news...

One thing my wife and I really wanted when setting up a reef tank was a clown/anemone pair. About a month ago we purchased LTA for the occellaris. I realize it isn't a natural combination in the wild, but the price was right and it was a great looking anemone.

Of course the clown ignored it. Furthermore it continued to pester my trumpet and my brain. I even had to move the brain to a more verticle spot because it wasn't taking the abuse very well.

This afternoon we decided to get a smaller clown to see if they would pair and possibly find the anemone.

First the clowns checked each other out and seemed to buddy up right away. Not more than 15 minutes later, the new clown is in the anemone. My wife and I couldn't be happier. The larger clown still hasn't gone near it, but I think it wants to be near the new clown. We'll just wait and see tomorrow when the lights come back on. The large clown is currently in her sleeping spot above the powerhead.

Just thought I would share the good news. Most of our friends don't thruly appreciate how big of a deal this is for us. I knew the folks here at RC would.

That is good news. Hey, is that an aiptasia in the first pic on the left hand side? You may wanna take care of that or it might cause your LTA to move because of stinging.

Unfortunately, you're right about the aiptasia. I have one other one in my tank that I need to get rid of. The other one is on the back side of my rockwork and is 3 times the size.

On a brighter note, the very next day after adding the new clown it convinced the large clown to move into the LTA also.
