just started a 55 fowlr setup need some help!!!

Hi, this will be my first saltwater tank a 55 gallon fowlr setup. I need some help on what fish i can keep in it and what fish will get along. i really like snowflake eels and i am told they can live in a 55 gallon just fine. If this is the case will i be able to add anymore fish, will any fishget along with the eels such as flame angels or any typoe of clowns and is the tank big enough to fit any other fish with the eel.

I am also new to this site and i do not have my live rock yet is there any place on here where people sell stuff like live rock?

Snowflake Eel can grow up to 24-30" in a 55 it's a no can do. However you can have other great fish in there, generally look for fish that won't grow over 4-5" and no more than 3 maybe 4. No saltwater Eel that I know of is small enough for a 55g.

I disagree with being able to keep a 2 foot eel in a 4 foot tank...it's doable. I kept a 24" SFE in a std 55 for close to 15 years before I booted it for becoming overly aggressive and killing tankmates, and even biting me. It lived in a large conch shell and pretty much only came out to eat or at night, which is when it would nail its sleeping tankmates. I had the eel since it was the size of a pencil, but once it hit about 20", it got really nasty, which isn't uncommon for SFE's.

That being said, IMHO, a golden dwarf moray would be a better choice, as they only reach about a foot max.

alright if i dont do the eel what other fish can go together i like the long nosed hawkfish the flame angel i really like clowns so could these live together. open to any other ideas also

i have a ghost ribbon in a 4 foot 55gal tank. so its possible. the eel has never attached anything.(knock on wood)
